The current winter session will end on Thursday, March 24 as that will be the last “winter” training session for this soccer year.
Many of our teams will still have league games during the weekend of March 26-27, so please keep in touch with your team managers to
ensure your child participates in the final weekend of games.
We will continue to train at PSA until the Cleveland United outdoor fields are ready for use, which is always contingent upon
the weather we receive in late March and early April.
We will hold our annual Spring Pre-Season Camp the week of March 29 – 31 at PSA.
We may host some friendly matches against Canton United on the weekend of April 1-2 and those details will be sent out shortly.
The following week of April 4 will begin the actual spring training sessions. Those training sessions will most likely be at PSA unless
our outdoor fields are ready for use. Historically, we transition to the Cleveland United fields by the week of April 11 (this year).
All teams will follow a revised training schedule very similar to our current indoor training days and times while at PSA for spring
training sessions. Early spring training information will be made available within the next two weeks.
When: Tuesday, March 29 – Thursday, March 31
Where: Premier Soccer Academies Field House aka “PSA”
Ages: U8-U13 Boys and Girls 6:00-7:30PM
U14-U17 Boys and Girls 7:30-9:00PM
The Spring Pre-Season Camp is geared with the outdoor game in mind. Our staff will work with players on team formations and strategies as well as
positional functions related to the 6v6, 8v8, and 11v11 game formats. Players will be put through fitness and agility training on one of the
three nights and will receive information on proper nutrition, muscle recovery, and injury prevention that will help them get through the
demanding season ahead.
Cost for the camp:
$60.00 for U9-U14
$65.00 for U15-U17 (includes college soccer seminar)
U15-U17 age groups will also get a college recruitment seminar on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 with Coach Dan Palmer at 6:00PM inside of the PSA Field House.
Coach Palmer is the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Case Western University and his seminar will provide insight on college recruitment and what it means
to be a student-athlete at the collegiate level as well as scholarships and financial aid. The seminar will end with a Q and A session.
All participants are required to submit a camp registration form along with their payment.
The form can be downloaded at:
http://clevelandunited.org/Public/Events/Camps.aspx
Registration will be handled at the lobby area of the Field House 45 minutes prior to the start of the first night of camp. Players will receive their
club gear at the time of registration.
Players are to bring their own soccer balls, shin guards, and water/sports drink.
All club training sessions will begin the week of April 11, 2011 at the Cleveland United Outdoor Fields (weather permitting).
Each Team Manager will be sending out a team wide email asking for each individual’s nightly preferences for training.
We will then choose the best two nights for our team training sessions and will assign those two nights for the spring season.
The Head Coach has final say on the final training nights for the team.
Teams participating in the Midwest Regional League will have three team training sessions per week and one night of club technical training.
The club footskill/technical session and goal keeper training will take place on Friday evenings from 6:00-7:00PM throughout
the season starting on Friday, April 15.
All of our club teams will participate in the Cleveland Alliance Soccer Association’s League otherwise known as the CASA league.
The CASA league plays its games from the Lodi Soccer Complex in Lodi, OH. Games may also be scheduled as Home games for our teams at
the Cleveland United Outdoor Fields in North Ridgeville, OH.
U9-U14 teams will play games on Saturdays
U15-U18 teams will play games on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays
The CASA league will hold a club scheduling meeting where all games will be scheduled. This will take place sometime in early March. After
the meeting occurs and all clubs submit their proposed schedules to the field and referee assignor, we will receive confirmations for all of the
games with assigned field numbers / letters for the Lodi Complex and other locations.
Please let your team manager know if you may have a conflicting date that may cause a large amount of the team to miss a game and we will
work around that conflict. An example would be a younger team (U9-U14) missing players for a travel team game or tournament.
Midwest Regional League teams (Boys U16, Girls U14, Girls U15 Blue, Girls U15 White, and Girls U17) have their schedules already posted at
www.midwestregionalleague.com

their tournament fee payment prior to the start of the actual event.
